Literature Internship Program - Pilot 2025
LIT 108A / Literature Internships (5-units) and LIT 108B / Literature Internships 2 (2-units) provide an opportunity for Literature students to receive course credit while participating in a literature adjacent internship. Providing literature majors with pre-professional experience in a variety of fields to enable students to envision career pathways and to conceive of multiple ways for literature and humanities majors to work in and engage the world.
Students enrolled in LIT 108A or LIT 108B will meet three times as a cohort during the quarter of their internship and keep a reflective journal during that time, with a brief final report at the end. Internships can be located on or off campus and can be paid or unpaid.
Enrollment in LIT 108A or LIt 108B is by application through the Literature Department website. The course number will be assigned based on the anticipated hours for the internship throughout the quarter. The course itself may be repeated for credit.
