Skyler Rose Marshall is a reader, writer, educator, book collector, and student of literature from Benicia, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley, with honors, focusing on nostalgia in British children’s literature and Virginia Woolf’s novel To the Lighthouse. Her past work has included yoga teaching, administration and logistics at an Alaskan salmon cannery, and various editing and tutoring roles. She is currently the Executive Assistant for writer, speaker, and teacher Dr. Laurel Braitman, and the company manager for Santa Cruz Shakespeare. Her research now focuses on Virgnia Woolf's evolving conception of reading: why to do it, how it could be done well, and why it matters for the development of a common literary culture.
