J. Ramos (she/they) received their M.A. in Comparative Literature from San Diego State University and their B.A. in English from CSU, Sacramento. Born and raised in the Central Valley of California to a family of Mexican migrant farmworkers, J.’s research is inspired by her personal experiences and observations of the agribusiness industry. She is interested in the Environmental Humanities, Latin American and Latino Studies, and Queer Studies.
